Custom Bratz

I realized I had not posted my custom dolls here yet, so I'll go ahead and make a post for them. They are re-haired. I did not do much in the way of makeup changes on these, the only one that is really different is the white headed one where I changed the eye color and lip color. The other two I didn't change the makeup any:

My big curly headed girl. I still haven't figured out what to name her =/

Again, I still haven't named them yet (bad me)

The one on the right is obviously the custom; this pic just shows the difference in the red from a regular redhead Bratz

The first one could be Azalea, if her skin was darker...
The white haired one could actually be an older Yesmina...

I've got a whole box of bad condition Bratz I've got from yard sales and flea markets; I just need to find the time to work on them.

Thanks =) I think they turned out pretty good. I really want to make a custom boy next ;) Long hair on a guy is my goal, and maybe a redhead...or heck, both! =)

Re: Bratz
Yes for a redheaded boy. Everyone's clamored for a harvey-type. Make one and add it on ur flickr.
I love the big curls on dana. So cute.

Re: help
If you do a google search for rerooting, you can probably find a lot of helpful tutorials out there on the web. Basicly you have to remove all the old hair first, clean it all out. To do that you will need to remove the head.

Bratz are not to hard to take the head off of but you still have to be careful because you don't want to break the neck or the neck joint thingie.

Then it's just a tedious process of removing the hair.

I would suggest looking for a tutorial online, there are a number of different ways to reroot dolls hair and no method is perfect for everyone.

You'll need hair to replace the old. There are a couple of places you can buy hair from. I'll have to hunt down the websites if you need them.

The easiest way to reroot is to buy a rerooting tool, the places that sell replacement hair sometimes sell tools but you can also find a rerooting tool on ebay. This is the easiest way to reroot and probably the best way for a beginner.

How Did You Curl your big curly headed girls hair?

Re: Howw??
The hair I used on this doll already comes curly. Some hair suppliers will already have hair that is curly or braided or whatever - it just depends on what brand you are using and what kind of look you are wanting the doll to have.

There is also a method to curl the hair, basicly you boil some water and dip the hair in after you've curled it around tiny rollers, straws or different objects depend on size curl you want.

For this doll however I used the easy road and bought some hair that was already curled in cut little ringlets.
